DESIGN FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

This project tackled sustainability; sea pollution was my focus. I wanted to create a product that would make a positive difference in the world. I created 'Tiddles the Turtle' a fun fictional children's book character to engage with children about how we can help to reduce sea pollution. The story line covered current issues with sea pollution such as plastic waste and rubbish being scattered and left on beaches, sea creatures being caught in fishing nets and how we are destroying eco systems and food sources for sea life.
The book and puzzle were designed to help children develop an understanding of what sea pollution is and how we can stop it. I designed this for children ranging from 3-8 years depending on learning ability. It is a great resource to have for parents and teachers to educate and engage with children in a fun and interactive way.
